After completing his carpentry apprenticeship, Ivala worked in the construction industry in New Zealand and Australia until 2003 after his career in the NRL ended. He moved into the concrete sector at Firth Industries in 2004 as one of two main dispatchers and trainers for Concrete Dispatch, moving on to the same role with Bonneys. Ivala joined RGC in January of 2017 as our Concrete Pumping & Cutting Manager where his construction & transport knowledge as well as excellent leadership skills have ensured that these divisions continually facilitate program synergise with all of RGC’s other teams.
Comfortable in working with and leading teams, Ivala has played a key role in delivering several large infrastructure projects in Auckland under challenging conditions & with multiple resource demands.
Ivala has excellent communication skills & customers look to him as super-reliable & responsive.
