Russell Gordon Contracting (RGC) is the culmination of a merger of the Russell and Gordon family construction contracting businesses, with a track record built up over five decades. PMG Contracting, AJ Russell Brick & Block Layers, Aotea Paving, Kiwi Concrete Pumps, Procision Concrete Cutting, MACROD Contracting & BG Grace Blocklayers are the cornerstone entities that provide RGC with a unique service offering.
Servicing both the commercial and residential markets, our team has worked on many of Auckland’s most prominent developments. Here are just a few:
Stonefields, Long Bay subdivision, Jellicoe Wharf, Fort Street redevelopment, ASB Centre, Sky Tower, Park La Vue Apartments, Paremoremo and Wiri Prisons, Westgate Town Centre, Auckland City Council footpath refurbishment, Zealandia Horticultural & Ronald McDonald House.
Health & Safety
In December of 2018 Russell Gordon Contracting achieved ISO 45001:2018
registration for concrete-related trade services including residential and commercial concrete placing, pumping, cutting, foundations, streetscape,
site works, brick and block works.
In addition to this our RGC OHS processes continue to mature and develop and are now inherently part of our ‘RGC Village’ ethos.
- All boom pumps have been inspected and certified, with recertification every 12 months.
- All of RGC team members are Site Safe trained and certified.
- Each division has a specially designed Safe Operating Procedure’s (SOP).
- Everyone is trained in their particular SOP, participates in refresher training and is retrained whenever the SOP is updated and improved.
- Before work is started every morning each team conducts a pre-start meeting, led by the Supervisor and with a strong emphasis on creating an environment conducive to participation by all team members
- Strict assessment and documentation of all hazards and controls is completed on every job. Controls disseminated across the team.
- Divisional Weekly toolbox meetings are held at our Training Centre in Marua Road
- We have a quarterly company breakfast meeting where the entire RGC workforce meets with the primary focus to discuss and revisit the Health, Safety and Wellbeing learnings of the previous quarter.
